    Post PC Anywhere and ICS

Anyone have a clue why I can't use pcanywhere from my laptop when home (using a cable modem and ICS. The gateway has ME and my laptop has 2kpro)I use it at work with no prob, we use dsl there and use dynamic ip at both places.

pc Anywhere uses specific 'ports' that ICS closes. You need to use the ics config program to open up these ports and forward them to the computer you want to control. I don't know the port numbers, but I'm sure somebody here or elsewhere on the internet knows. Also, at work you may have a firewall set-up that denies the ports pc Anywhere wants to use. I use VNC instead of pc Anywhere with ICS and/or Teaminternet box and it works just fine(port 5800 for VNC).
