3com 3c920
A friend of mine is planning on building servers based on the new Tyan AMD 760MP chipset using dual AMD 1.2MP CPU's. This board uses the 3com 3c920 NIC chipset, does anyone know anything about this chipset on how it compares to others from 3com and Intel? This will be a gaming server so will be seeing a very high traffic load. Thanks in advance for your help.

Should be fine. Good 10/100 NIC. Can handle load fairly well. If it will se some really intense traffic, you might want to add a second nic.
