Which OS to use?
HI guys...i was wondering if anybody out there knows which of microsofts operating systems will handle a system with 2 network cards? I am quite sure 2000 or XP will, but I am wondering if win98 or ME will do it? I have a simple network at home and I would like to be able to monitor and control it all without using a hub or a router.

I know that Win95 and above will for sure.
I am pretty sure that Win3.1 will also, but that really is irrelevant, cause that's not really an Operating System. I consider it more of a CoW (Can o Worms...).
I personally am running 2 NICs in my Win2k box and it works very well.
I have enabled RRAS on a different box, but I think that requires server... That allows your Win2k server to become a router...

Win2k and XP work great with 2 nic's. Very headache free. WinME and 9x both will run with 2 nics but it takes some fancy moves to get them to work sometimes.
