    Wink Not reading a scsi cd rom in win98

    I have a Toshiba scsi cd rom connected to an Adaptec 1542cf scsi controller running under windows 98se

    The controller shows no errors.
    It shows my cd on windows explorer, but the cd doesn't read.

    ANY help would be appreciated..

    Pop your 98se cd in, reboot and set boot options in bios to boot from cd, if it boots then you know both the contoller and cd work.
