I just build a new PC from some new/old parts(366mhz AMD k6-2, 32mb 72 pin RAM (non EDO), Soyo Mobo with built in graphics (2mb shared) and sound, 10/100 Realtech NIC) and I am running Win ME and it is giving me the oddest errors. It will reboot when I try to send files of any decent size to it (like over 10mb). If it does not reboot it gives me an error that says "an unknown error has occurred". Anyone ever experience this before?
PS - My PC's connect via a 10/100 auto sensing switch/router by Linksys. ------------------ now type format c: and press enter and you will never have a pc problem ever again... |

What are the settings of the NIC - ie. What protocol are you using, and what are your speed/duplex settings? Are they the same as the other card? Try setting both to 100/half duplex.

Well, i tried changing the nic's settings so that it was at 10 full/half 100 full/half and nothing worked.
The CD burner was giving errors for every cd. FDISKed it and put 95 version c on it and it doesn't boot at all now. I'm beginning to think is hardware based... ------------------ now type format c: and press enter and you will never have a pc problem ever again... |

I had the same problem when i used the Same above Config with Norton Antivirus! If you are using it Remove it and check it! ------------------ ************************* It Works Better if you Plug it in, It Works far better if you Turn it ON!
