I'll play Quake 1 until my fingers are raw. Gimme a week to get my new copmuter up and running, and I'll be in for anything else.

Thumbs up

I'm all for it Taz!

I'm heavy into Q3 these days, but I could revert back to Q2 if needed.

I've been wanting to get into some gaming action with my fellow windrivers, but I did not own the other games offered so far.

Did you intend on setting up a server yourself?

id love to, but i only have dialup. quake 2 might be doable, but quake 3? no way.

i am in high school right now, so i live at home. my father's really messed up technology-wise. we have dial-up, and just got a second phone line so the internet wouldn't tie up our first line. I tried to explain that dsl is faster, installation of the dsl modem and filters would cost just as much as installation of the second line, and that the combined cost of 2nd line and dialup service was more expensive than the dsl cost. and my father ignored it all and now we have 2 lines and dialup. god, i can't wait till i go to college, one more year now! (ill be a senior this september!)

Tell your dad to consult with his telco, if they offer DSL. He might even save some dough on an installation.

BTW, I play Q3 on dialup with no problems on good servers.

In hopefully under two weeks I will have my cable modem (and a new home). I will be in for anything, I miss playing online as I can currently get 28.8 at my current residence and I don't even bother trying.

I should close on my house in a few weeks. I hope to have the cable service ordered before I close.
