[RESOLVED] CDR Driver Trouble

I recently purchased an open box Hp CdWriter 9350i. The driver cd was broken and i cannot seem to get it to be detected in the system tab so no burning software detects it. The only way i can get it to be detected in "my computer", in fact, is if I go and put the real mode dos drivers in my config.sys and autoxec file. THis puts the drive in compatability mode and it still doesnt show up in devices.

I own a hp 9100I and it works fine my bios (award) sees it and it works fine .. you say it was broken how broken .. and what OS are you using .. make sure the jumpers and all that are set im sure you check this stuff but you never know .. good luck
