    Post Mirai 40x12x48, feedback?

Thinking of getting this drive its cheap supposedly very good and apparently one of the few drives to be able to copy the new audio cd,s.
Anyone got anything to say to the contrary or are they indeed as good as i hear.
    Thanks for any feedback..

Haven't heard anything about it, but check out the Liteon 40x drive. It rips perfect SD 2.51 (for backup copies of course), and can be firmware-flashed to a 48x <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

I don't think it's very good with audio CD protection though.

Take a look at both drives. Newegg has the Liteons for cheap.

sorry yes i meant 99mins. Ive got a big stack of them here and no cd writer to burn to them
Anyway went for the plextor 40x instead, v.good drives cost an extra 35quid but at least they offer a 2 year pick up and replace policy. essential in my experience of cdwriters(which is very bad)
Thanks for feedback i might well consider a mirai in a budget system, or maybe not until i see some reviews..

oh, and apparantly the new plextor 40 12 40 does not stop at the 89min mark when burning as the older drives did. they max out now at around 95mins.
