Nero 4 is not compatible with XP - is this windows 2000? What version of Nero 5 ?

Do you have the latest motherboard drivers from www.viaarena.com ?

Look in device manager, do you have any ! by any of your hardware?

What virus checker do you have?

Do you have a logitech keyboard and have loaded the logitech drivers?

Have you loaded Adaptec/Roxio Easy CD as well as nero?

Have you turned off the native burning in XP?

OK, let us know how it goes with the motherboard drivers loaded.... to turn off native burning, open my computer, right click the burner, properties, last tab - recording - uncheck the recording box - reboot. It doesn't ask you to reboot, but it doesn't work until you do.

    Good luck!

i just copied 2 audio cd's both the same, 1 from an image 1 from other CD drive. 1st 1 recognised the audio tracks in windows but wudnt play them and said an erro, then put it in stereo and it said blank cd. 2nd cd all tracks were there but there were loads of muzzy sounds the whole way thro the cd.
