Request help with Mitsumi FX240S CD-ROM
Hello all:
Currently working on a system that has an old Mitsumi FX240S CD-ROM.
Pent II 233
64MB RAM
Win98SE
For some reason, the CD functions fine when I install Win98, but once the OS is loaded, it won't recognize the CD drive. I keep getting a "Drive not ready" message.
I've tried the various drivers listed on the site but still no luck. I've even reinstalled the OS 3 times.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Steve is right on. Simply remove the REM command from config.sys and you should be good.

Thank you for the help.
I found the config.sys file and removed the REM command. I also had to change the drive letter on it because the machine has 2 HDDs in it and the command line was calling for the CD to be named as D: instead of E:.
The CD appears to be functioning properly now.
Thanks again for the help.
