    Resolved [RESOLVED] DMA

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out with a problem I'm experiencing. I've been getting a flickering in my DVD playback. I found out that my DMA settings on the DVD has to be enabled; but whenever I enable the setting my Device Manager, it reverts back to the disabled status upon reboot. My specs are Pioneer-115 DVD, CD-RW, on an ABIT KT7-Raid motherboard. My O/S is WinMe.
    Thanks a lot.

Are all the other devices on the same IDE chain DMA capable. Is the mainboard? Do you have the latest BIOS for the mainboard install as well as the mainboard drivers?

make sure you have DMA enabled on MB. Also cyber is right on, make sure that all devices on IDE are DMA cabable.
