[RESOLVED] Help ? Samsung SCR2431 & Sony CRX145E

Have a problem with this CDR and CDR/W. Using Win2000 SP1 on PIII 800MHz, 256 MB RAM,ASUS P3V4X PC133 Motherboard. Cannot get both CD's to work together. Either Sony works or Samsung works. It is detected in BIOS and displayed correctly in Device Manager but will not read CD in the drive. Have tried both as Master and the other Slave but nothing. Coulndt get it working on Win98SE, Win ME either. Samsung is a known good working CD ( tested on a Dell Gx1).

What type of cd's are you trying to get to open at the same time?

Are they both on the same IDE cable?

If so, try switching them to one on one IDE line and the other on the second.

If the Samsung came out of a Dell, make sure it is not set to Cable Select.
