[RESOLVED] CD-ROM Drivers help
I recently formated my computer and it is a older gateway a p5-133 to be exact. anyways I am trying to put windows 95 back onto it but my CD-ROM is not working properly because i cannot find the right drivers to use. My CD-ROM is a Toshiba xm-56028. I have tried by 95 boot disk but the drivers do not load properly or something,,help..steve

Hi,
Toshiba's website below says that there are no special drivers for their CD-ROM drives for Win95:

I would boot into Safe Mode...go into Device Manager...remove all references to your CD-ROM driver. Reboot...let WinDoze refind it...it should load the drivers automatically.

see if your BIOS supports booting from CDROM.
