    Talking

I used to ride mountian bikes ALOT! I worked at my local bike shop for 3+ years and became really good...then I got a car and that ended that...

But built up a couple of sweet bikes for myself...could never become a rodie though...

I did, but my mountain bike literally broke under the weight of myself, my laptop, and the 80 lbs of books I needed to transport home at the beginning of this semester. I am currently debating whether or not to have it fixed or to simply beat it into slag with a piece of spare piping to blow off steam.

I haven't used my Giant ATX (mountain bike) at all this year - or even last year for that matter.

I'm 6' and thinking about a full suspension for next summer. What are the specs?

Well, if you guys ever get tired of pc's, why not get some alternative chat at our new cycling forum.

    <ahref="http://www.cyclingforums.com" target="_blank">Here's the link...</a>

It's quite new, so there aren't many members yet. Hoping you guys can stop by and share some knowledge.
    Thanks for the replies.

Its a red Aluminum 20" Pro-Flex 856 (now K2 bikes) and the frame isn't stock. I upgraded the rear suspension to an oil damped spring, used to be friction damped foam. Results = better shock absorption (sp?). The frame also has rear Magura Hydraulic brakes and a XT front derailluer. Like I said I worked in a bike shop, so I paid xtra attention to it, cuz that was my main bike and I didn't want it to crap out on me!

I am 6'1", with a 34" inseam, and the bike fit me like a glove! Now I have a Kestral carbon fibre bike, so I just have the Proflex frame hanging around for somebody interested.

I used to do some mtb (or if it rained, it was more like mudding) on some very old coal strip mines around where I went to college. I have a cheap Wal-mart 26" Mongoose with a front suspension. Wouldn't mind going back sometime next summer....
