Recorded CD's and DVD drives & Laptops
Any suggestions on using Recorded CDs in PC DVD drives. . .I have tried every setting I can think of and they seem to hate them. htey don't see them at all. Also, I have an older TI laptop that the CD drive will not read recorded, (to the frustration of the client.) I have adjusted all of the read aheads, cacheing etc. Anybody got any trick?
The work part, I have a client that bought new IBM Thinkpads with DVD and can't use their inhouse self recorded data CDs.

You're not alone, ellingtond. I have had the same trouble with DVD drives. No matter how the CD is recorded, those blasted DVD drives just won't read it. It's crazy that a CD drive in a brand-new computer won't read all types of CD's.
