Post Of inflated chests and egos

WOW!!! Yay me!!! I have spent the past two weeks working on transfering the company website to our own server. No more webhosts to deal with. And no more fees for e-mail accounts, hosting fees. It all runs off the Linux box I built running Mandrake 8.2.

The server is now handling DHCP services for our remote office, firewall, web server, mail server and soon file server and print server.

I haven't had any classes yet. Figured it all out from books and "How To's" at various sites.

It's working beautifuly and I just had to brag on myself.

I may have to throw a party tonite.

    WOOOHOOO!!!!

An entity with that kind of ability AND with breath of fire....

You should by all means fluff your scales up and prance around.

sounds good, just remember some home ISP's hate it when you map a domain to there IP... you may need to get a corporate package in order to establish your domain.

I have never mentioned to them that I wanted a business line. Our remote office is temporarily in a house and when the T/W tech ran the coax in, he knew we were using the house as an Office and saw three machines there but said nothing.

Cool. That keeps it cheap. My cable's not reliable enough for that.

Sweet Mayhem. That's a really nice job. I wonder if Comcast is as blind as RoadRunner. I want to run an exchange mail host so I can get my mail via web anywhere. Do you think they will notice?

For something like that, I doubt you'ld have enough traffic for them to notice.
