Concerning your CD-Writer 9100i, you might want to read up on HP CD-Writer Plus drives - Is Windows 2000 Professional Supported?
Basically, it says to use the default drivers in Win2000. There is also a firmware update that is required for Win2000 but the update routine does not run in Win2000...you will need to run the update on a Win9X machine first.
Good Luck!

You have to go to HP's website and buy the stupid upgrade for the Adaptec Easy CD Writer software ($9.95 + shipping). I know, I'm using an HP 9100i under W2K. Once you've upgraded the burner software, you're good to go. Of course, you could always download a free demo version of Nero 5.5 and get it to work that way...
