Plextor 16x10x40a Question

I can't enable DMA on this drive. It is set as the Master on the Secondary IDE. When I change the setting to DMA and prompts me to reboot and then comes up without the DME box checked. OS= WinME.

Also - The Plextor Software (MVP2000) hangs all the time. Can't seem to get it to work. It's in startup but if I go to click it nothing runs. When I 'End Task' on PLXSTRT it ends and EZ CD Creator starts in the task bar. Seems like it gets blocked because the MVP2000 does not load properly. Even tried installing the update.

i had a similar prob the other month, with winME and a cdrw;

my first step would be remove the stuff from the startup (inc. msconfig just to be sure) then see what happens.

if u can, and have EZcd i would remove it and get nero.... (obviously only a personal preference here!)
