Yeah, I rarley select faster shipping, its usually a huge rip off, unless I really need it ASAP.
Its from when they ship it, which means you'll get it maybe a day or two faster..
I don't like it when they don't tell you its out of stock and on backorder, but charge you for it!

I think that if you order the damn thing on one day it should go out that day or the next day if its late. Charging you and then shipping it out a week later is B$ and should be reported to the BBB

This is why I buy my computer parts locally. Of course, not everyone lives in a city where there are 1000 computer stores competing with each other, but when something goes wrong, it's so much easier to get it dealt with.
If the shipping charges from US to Canada don't kill you, the customs fees or exchange rate will!

They are one of the worst! Stupid company sent me not 1 but 2 bad Epox 8kha boards and expected me to pay return shipping for both! I know it was the board because I tried dif RAM vid psu and processor! I know they dont make the parts but they were either poorly handled or stored, I wouldnt have minded that but the fact that I had to pay the return shipping on these parts! The worst part is dealing with the cust service, they are total @$$es about trying to help you with anything, they act like you are a criminal when you are on the phone with them.

Flabooble!
This is another reason that I refuse to buy online anymore. I still will order things but only when I have NO way of getting them localy. BS shipping charges and poor mail carriers (even ups and fedex) keep me away from ordering things. That and returning things can be a real pain in the a$$ and who needs that headache?
My 2 cents - only order online if you can't get it anywhere near you.

That's very bizarre. Checkout http://www.resellerratings.com/cgi-bin/reseller/comview.cgi?Newegg.com for their reseller rating (6.6/7.0 with over 1000 feedbacks offered) They have always been great. Out of $7800 worth of orders with them I had 1 $10 item that was defective. I wrote them and told them that I wasn't going to pay return shipping and they told me where to send my receipt for reimbursement. Had the replacement out to me fast and refunded my return shipping charges.

Damn...I hate freight and freight companies...getting anything to arrive here on time is an impossible task...they say it will arrive tuesday and we tell the customer that it will be in thursday or friday

so far i havent had any problems with shipping. the only problems i had is when the online store would send me messed up stuff, but that was only tcwo.com i ordered from other places and it was good service.
i prefer local stores but some of them are really far away

Most of the time I factor in a couple days for the order to be processed. I do ahte the companies that don't tell you something is back-ordered until you call to ask where the parts are. I also hate it when I have a large order of parts with one thing that turns out to be back-ordered and they won't ship any of the parts till the one back-ordered item comes in. I have narrowed down who I will buy on-line from because of these situations.

Heres the sad truth. 2nd day shipping, unless its air, isn't any faster than 5-8 day ground. 5-8 days is the MAX that it usually takes. Most of the time its there within 3 days, so the customer is happy. If it is delayed one or two times...then it still reaches the customer in the time they stated, and they dont get mad.
Unless you need it right there, dont do anything other than the slowest shipping method. And if you need it immediately, nothing will be better than overnight.

Already tried that. BBB told me that if they post on their site that you will recieve the order overnight from the TIME IT IS SHIPPED, their isn't much they can do. It's buyer beware.
It is a bit misleading, though. You would think that the retailers who are totally web-based (i.e. no store fronts) would be able to focus more on fulfilling orders faster than the retail chains. Go figure!?!
