DVD Problems
I've tried product supports and they give me several fixes that dont help. I recently purchased and installed a Creative DVD ROM DVD 1241 E. After installation I keep getting "Create Overlay failed. Please lower your screen resolution or color depth and try again." Everytime I try to play a DVD. No amount of display ajustment will remove this problem. What can I do to fix this problem? The drive will play CDs, just refuses to play any DVDs, which is why I bought this player for. I have Directx 8 and all updates have been made that I can find. I'm using a Rage IIC AGP (English) display adapter. Any Help would be appriciated.

You need to upgrade to a better video card
Rage IIC AGP (English) display adapter will not work. I had same problem try up grading to a rage expert 2000 or better need at least 32mg on card. There are better cards out there.

First try to change your settings to 640x480@16 bit.
also if you might have configured your DVD to use "hardware" accelration which the RageIIc doesn't have (if you use ATI DVD player it will not work as it was designed for the Rage 128.)
