Post IE-6 crashes

I installed XP last week with IE-6. I keep getting that popup message IE-6 has experienced problems and is shutting down. I have Zone Alarm and AVG Virus Protection running. Is this interfering with XP's security or IE-6 no good?

I'd say it's none of them.
Something else is probably causing the problem.

First I would reinstall IE6 and if that wouldn't help, I would WinXP repair using the installation CD.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried to reinstall IE 6 and my system says it's up to date. I can't find the info on the XP disk on repairing IE.
