    Post Modem and Ctr+Alt+Delete Problems

I have two problems, My Ctrl+Alt=Delete just started one day not working..now when I press it instead of bringing up a task manager that i can use t stop programs..it only brings up my a graph representing my network connection.

The other problem deals with my modem. WinXp autodetects. Almost every other time I start my computer when I open dial up and press connect it will say opening port.... and then it just freezes on that. I tried moving the modem to a different port thinking it could be an irq conflict but that did not work. So now I have to uninstall the modem and reinstall until it to get it to work for a little while.

    please helps..thanks

Click the Applications tab at the top of Task manager. Looks like it was closed last with the Performance or Network tab open.

Is there any chance that it could be a modem on its way out? Or perhaps the gold connectors on the bottom of the card needing cleaning? Have you checked to make sure that the card is fully seated? Also, have you checked for updated drivers for the modem?

After opening that network activity window, simply double-click anywhere on the border around the graph to get your tabs and menus back.

Thanks a lot for the help, I got the menu back and I think I will head to the modems area to see if they can help me with my modem.
