unfortunately XP is not yet available to the public. However there are many people who are testing the software for microsoft, if you know one of these people then you can just ask to play on their comp for a while, however they are not allowed to share it. Your best bet would be to just read up on all the reveiws so far and grab a copy when it is released in the fall.

You paid them the $9.95 and they still have sent the download link or instructions????? I WAS going to go for it but not if thats how long it takes to get the link! sounds to me like waiting for the retail version to come out and be cracked then get a copy of the cracked software! I have bought MS products before but not XP! I will not have my computer tell me to phone home if I change to many parts! I change out parts like every 2-4 weeks or so.

I'm not in the program but from what I've heard If you ordered the RC2 download you won't be charged until you succesfully download the ISO image. As for the CD version of RC1 you should only be charged if the CD was sent already. I read that info on microsoft website. But things aren't always what they should be.

Just for the record, I ordered the beta from Microsoft months ago, got it within a week or two, and they sent RC1 to me when it was released (I got it in the mail just a couple days after it was out). I had no problems at all, although that doesn't seem to be the norm according to the posts I've seen.

It's true.I got my rc-1 the same day I was downloading rc-2.Never did get to load rc-1 to see the differences between them. But I probably will.
