xp driver dilema !!!

Hi Peeps, has any one been able to install Sound blaster live value live ware and audio hq apps as my xp crashes out every time it gets to the updateing drivers part? any help would be much aporeciated.

Does it give you any sort of error? I do know that XP does include a recent version of the creative drivers by default, and you shouldnt need to install liveware unless you want all the crap that comes with it.

The creative drivers and software will not work on XP. Creative say there going to lease XP drivers and software for all SB live cards but not until the offical XP shipping date!

Just use the drivers that come with XP until october.

The reason some people have cards that work and others that dont is the model on the card i have a CT4830, i have two friends with identicle setups (same vid card, mobo, XP Build, the only difference is the CT#### on the SBLIVE) so it seems i am screwed for now.

Forget Windows 2000 for 99.999% uptime, this one had it ten years ago.
