I have an Intel PC Camera Pro, that has drivers for Win 2000, and works fine under win 2000. Win XP comes with a driver for this cam built into it with a clean reformat, identifies my camera as an Intel PC Camera Pro. The problem is, when ANY program tries to use it, including the windows explorer itself (under my computer) the cam will just freeze up completely after about 3-5 minutes. The cam locks up and does not send video until I reboot my computer, at which point it does the same exact thing all over again. Sometimes, with Netmeeting, it will blue screen my computer completely and reboot it. Does anyone have an Intel PC Camera Pro and have a possible solution to this? Or anyone with ideas in general? Intel tech support refuses to help me because windows XP is not supported at all. Thanks very much in advance for any assistance.

Sounds like you are going to have to wait for true XP compatiable drivers.
There are a lot of people at the moment who have hardware compatiability problems, and the hardware manufacturers are quite correct in refusing to give support until XP is released to retail. ------------------ FINALLY, Rocco HAS COME BACK to Win-Driverssssss...... Let the Boobies hit the floor |
