Question XP and WinTV card?

WinTV card on a XP install and after 20 or so boot/reboots it decides to “find new hardware” (tv card) In device manager problem is shown as “sub vendor id is missing or corrupt” and it will not let me do anything about it. Uninstall and reinstall and it’s the same, but here’s the weird bit, sometimes just reboot and upon reboot the TV card is magically fixed and working, another reboot and its pot luck again once its done it the first time it’s almost every boot you get the problem!!
Re-ghost the system and it can be 20+ boots before it once again returns!!!! This is not a hardware thing does the same with 2 cards both of which work fine all the time under 98/me/2000.
Has anyone else seen this or something similar? If so is their a fix? I know the WinTV drivers don’t state XP but is this really a driver issue if it’s this sporadic? Works then don’t then works again?
Ps have checked with several different up to date virus scans and all show as clean

Talking

I installed my Pinnacle TV Card (Studio PCTV Rave) and it is running fine in windows xp.

The thing you need to watch out for is what drivers you use. XP hates Win 9x drivers but will happily accept Win NT/2K drivers

I had a WinTV GO model 190 and it installed and worked fine. I used the 2000 drivers. I have build 2600 also.
