think i found the answer. partially.
in the resources > themes folder i have 2 files, luna1.theme and window1.theme. they must have got corrupted as i changed the filenames to the above from "luna~1.th" etc going deeper into the next folder in that dir, "luna" i have a file "luna~1".ms. i think the file extension is wrong. Can someone please advise me what this file should be called? thanks ------------------ "you can tune a PC, but you can't tuna fish" |

the file is called luna.msstyles & in the Shell dir there are 3 other Dir's each containing one file called shellstyle.dll

thanks Darren, renaming the file did the trick.
now if only i could get my damn Creative GeForce 2MX to work with XPPro life would be so much easier :-/ (tried loads of detonators inc 21.xx, too many blue screens of death and random resets to make the OS workable. it will load under F8 > enable VGA but crashed on next reboot after new screen res is set) ------------------ "you can tune a PC, but you can't tuna fish" |

never even thought of that, and well, it has worked so far! now for the final hurdle.
i removed ACPI from device manager > hardware > computer and changed it to Standard PC as i thought it might have been linked to my blue screen crashes. Win2KPro seems stable now i`ve disabled the AGPx4 in the Bios, but i want to re-enable ACPI, but can't seem to uninstall/remove "Standard PC" or update the driver to ACPI again. any ideas Darren? and a million thanks for the previous tip. ------------------ "you can tune a PC, but you can't tuna fish" |

Rolling back from changing to Standard PC back to ACPI is nigh on impossible as you are not given the option (unlike disabling ACPI).
I still run mine with ACPI disabled with no problems. Until ACPI matures a lot more and Microsoft & the OEM manufacturers sort out the niggles in it, I would stick to the Standard PC setup. ------------------ FINALLY, Rocco HAS COME BACK to Win-Driverssssss...... Let the Boobies hit the floor |
