Post How do I remove Windows Media 8?

How do I go about removing windows media player 8? I would much rather be useing WMP6.4 which I have been but WinXP keeps putting file associations back to WMP8.

WMP6.4 is still in XP

just change the file that opens WMP to mplayer2.exe in the same folder
