I just got hold of the Audigy Platinum sound card but am hesitant on installing it under Windows XP. When I checked the website for supporting drivers, it said they wouldn't be out till at least the middle of the month. Bah!...I have the card now. So I guess one of 2 things could happen...I could install it to see if it works or doesn't and post my findings here or there is someone out there who has the card and has installed it under XP already and would graciously assist me.

Go ahead and install it, it works just fine.
I installed the Audigy MP3 and it functions perfectly. They'll have more updated drivers after the release, but the ones for W2K work fine. ------------------ When cometh the day we lowly ones Through quiet reflection and great dedication Master the art of karate Lo, we shall rise up And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water |

Along these same lines I found that upgrading from ME or 98SE that if everything worked before then it would probably still function under XP. However on the same machine doing a clean install some of the cards showed as not being certified. To work around that I used W2K drivers and everthing worked just fine
