    Post boot.ini

    Hello Everyone, I have a machine with two hard drives the Master has 98 on the first partition(C) and XP Pro on the third(F) nothing but storge on the second partition(E).
    The Slave(D) is just a copy of the 98 on the Master.
    I have Boot Magic that loads first so I can choose which drive (Master for this problem) and then the boot loader from XP shows up and as the default it wants to load XP unless I choose 98. So here is a copy of my boot.ini does anyone know what changes need to be made so it will load 98 by default? Thanks !!!PSJ

    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOW S
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
    C:\="Microsoft Windows"

    You should be able to go in the System control panel, Advanced tab, then the Startup and Recovery settings. There it will let you choose the default Operating system.
