Bootdisks in XP
Does anyone know if the winnt /ox command still works to create the bootup floppies in XP? I am going thru a major nightmare trying to do a fresh load, and for some odd reason, no matter what I do, my CD-ROM refuses to boot from the CD.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was guilty of asking before researching. I found my answer.

I just downloaded the bootdisk creator pack from MS. It takes 6 floppies, be warned
You have to get the right boot disk set for your OS, urls:
WinXP PRO:

WinXP HOME:

There is a single disk option as well.
- Creste a bootable floppy using any DOS/win95/98
- Copy SMARTDRV.EXE to teh disk and place this line in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file on teh disk (if not there create one)
SMARTDRV 8092 (if 128Mb or less of RAM)
or
SMARTDRV 16184 (if more than 128Mb) - Copy CD-Rom drivers to the disk as well if not already present.
- Boot from teh Floppy disk with the XP CD in the drive
- Change Directory to \i386 on the CD & then run WINNT.EXE
- XP will then start it's install procedure.
