resolution problem on voodoo4 video card
hi I have a voodoo 4500 video card and when i try to change the resolution to 800x600 cant get it,i have winme on a generic home made pc with PIII 1GB,20GB seagate barracuda ATA 4,a mobo FIC FA15T with inboard sound and 256MB crucial ram.my resolutions stay on 640x480 and dont want to change to 800x600 if somebody know how to change it i apreciated,very sincerely joe...

Have you specified your monitor. You may have a generic driver installed for the monitor that only limits your resolution to 640x480. Are you getting an error message or a blank screen.
I think this post neds to be moved to the Video Cards forum.

Definitely sounds like a video driver issue. Does it let you run in true color(16/24/32 bit)?
Before you try new drivers, I would go into device manager and put your video adapter back to standard VGA and make sure that you uninstall any residual programs associated with your previous driver as well as the driver itself.
After you restart, I would load the new driver.
