    Post Security Camera???

Lookin' for help here finding an inexpensive security camera that I could mount in another room such as an apartment buildings laundry room to keep track of vandalism and thefts in the public area. Hoping to hook up to my pc and periodically check and erase if no offenses happened in that time span. I have imagined a setup that would take still shots every few seconds or one triggered by motion.

    Check out this site <a href="http://www.123cctv.com/cctv/agora.cgi?page=exposedwireless.html" target="_blank">http://www.123cctv.com/cctv/agora.cgi?page=exposedwireless.html</a>

I just bought an 8 cam system for my house. The wireless stuff is cool but the 0 LUX infrared cams are the shiznits.

The oh so great X10 popups. Yes the popups are annoying but they sure produce excellent products. I bought a few of their 3 camera package. <a href="http://www.x10.com/home/offer.cgi?LND126,../about2e.htm?>FRS" target="_blank">http://www.x10.com/home/offer.cgi?LND126,../about2e.htm?>FRS</a> One thing you may consider is building a housing to go around any of the cameras or conceal them very well. Broken things dont record damage well.

OK I see the camera's but excuse me if I am stupid but I don't understand what is needed to record on my PC. The sites I see talks about making pics available to me via the web but doesn't say that it will record for later veiwing. I am loking for this to be unattended for weeks at a time and then scanned to find people up to no good.

If you are looking to turn this into the police they wont look at printed copies of someone. They will want a actual tape w/ possiblly a date and time stamp. X10 produces software to get the cameras to your pc. With their input I would think it would just be a matter if you had a tv card that you can attach the x10 video reciever to.

I saw a package in compusa the other day. Came with the camera, a small black and white tc (8 or 10" I believe) and the tv I believe came included with a vcr. Pretty nice package for the price. Around $100 I believe.

    Thumbs up easy job

the system requires cctv cameras and a video capture card with watermark function. with this function, the recorded image should be good enough to be presented as evidence.

you can visit this link for wireless camera http://www.cctv-camera.cc/product/TT-811C2.asp or buy a camera with a set of wireless av transmitter.
    For camera: http://www.cctv-camera.cc/product/TT-ASO32C.asp
For wireless av transmitters: http://www.cctv-camera.cc/product/TT-WAVT100.asp (1.2Ghz and 2.4Ghz available)

thus you can connect them with your pc to make a cool surveillance system!
