yes, it is digital crack!. I played it for a month or 2 straight. Fortunately, I have since overcome my addiction

PC gamer did give it the second highest rating ever. Second to Civ 2..
It is a lot more difficult than the first one, thoug, although the cultural influence is a nice addition.
Now, I take over civs without buying their cities or declaring war!

Hell yeah.
And I max out my science when I can, get advanced quickly so if I need to I can just march in and take them over!

BTW, this game won't run on my &^%$#@ laptop. It installs fine but just quits when I try to run it... I think the problem is the video adaptor, it's only got 4MB of video memory.
I'm probably just screwed, but does anybody have any tips on what might get around this?

Make the resolution in the game the lowest setting, take out as much as you can?
