Post Hard Drive reporting 0 capacity in Win95

The properties for the C drive show 0 bytes used, 0 bytes free, but everything is on the drive. Big trouble is Windows won't let a swap file create. I tried removing the IDE controllers and reinstalling, DOS checks out ok.

    Any ideas?

Found the answer. Uncheck the disconnect radio button on the settings tab of the drive in the device manager.
