[RESOLVED] unable to write to c drive

HI all
My Problem is when loading programs to second drive it comes up unable to to drive data may be lost
i am also getting file allocation unit errors on secondary drive..
This has only happened since buying creative 48x CDROM
System is Win98
primary drive IBM 10.2 Master IDE1
secondary Maxtor 8.4 Master IDE2
Creative 4820e slave to IDE2
my thoughts are the machine does not like cd rom as slave on second ide
anyone help

Hello,
I suggest you keep the IBM 10.2 as the Master IDE1 and make the Maxtor 8.4 a Slave IDE1. Then make the Creative 4820e as the Master IDE2.

Main drive now removed had bad sectors
10.2 IBM drive
Maxtor now primary master
cd4820e is primary master on ide2
other cd rom failed on the section
had to be replaced
