    winipcfg

    Does Windows 95 have the command winipcfg?

    I have an old ISA nic installed. Would it be better if I were to replace it with a PCI nic?

    Yup, win95 should have winipcfg. The real advantage in changing NICs would be to go from 10mbps (which that ISA almost certainly is) to a 10/100 PCI NIC. If your network is only running on 10base, though, the change wouldn't really do much good, except that you'll be ready for future upgrades.

    if it doesn't have winipcfg, you can always do it from DOS by typing "ipconfig".

    ditto on the PCI NIC.

    Also, with the PCI NIC, you'll have much better plug and play compatability, support, drivers, ect.... I would try to stay as far away from ISA as it's already become outdated and 99% of newer mobos don't support it anylonger. Besides, you can pickup a new NIC for around $20, so it's definatly worth the upgrade.
