Word97 minimizes on startup...
I know I've seen this before. I've also fixed it before. I found the solution in MS TechNet a couple of years ago, but I can't find it now.
Whenever you open MS Word 97, it immediately minimizes itself. I think the solution was changing a Registry setting, but before a screw around with that, I figured I'd check here.

You gonna tell us how?
Seriously, someone looking for that problem would like to know the answer!

The window wasn't minimizing, it had been moved off of the screen. Ctrl + Space + M let's you move it with the arrows, and then I was able to center it back on the screen. I'm a little PO'd that I didn't think of it sooner.
Oh well.

Thanks that keyboard shortcut will be very useful the next time my kids shift things off the screen!

Thank you for the info on this meatwad.
It told me what to look for, as I did a re-install of Office97, and it still was doing it as you described above.
I tried what you said about CTRL-SPACE-M, but it didn't seem to work. All I then did was right click on the Word97 on the Taskbar, and selected Move (I think) and moved the mouse around until I saw THE Word97 window and the mouse pointer was stuck to the Titlebar. Cool!!!
