    No Sound

I have No sound on my computer.
When starting up Windows 95 I get a message stating (Please insert the Disk Labeled Windows 95 SISIDE Driver Disk, and then click Ok).
Another message comes up, stating (SISIDE.MPD on Windows95 SISIDE Driver Disk could not be found).
I do not have this disk, I tried reloading Windows but nothing changes.
Is there someway I can download this disk, and is this related to having no sound on my computer.

What Windows is looking for is the IDE driver as you might have guessed. And since this device is not configured correctly, then certain other devices may not work (such as sound) as you might also have guessed. Now as to the solution.
    You can either use
    (1) The motherboards' IDE driver, in which case you will have to determine your motherboard manufacturer and download the appropriate driver or get it off the disk if you have it. I believe you stated that it is a SiS ide driver. Or

    (2) You can use the Windows 95 default Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller.

    Good Luck

    Preferrably use the first option.
"Oh Bother," said Pooh, as Windows crashed for the umpteenth time.
