HP 4500n Printer
We have an HP 4500n networked. When one of our users sends print jobs to this printer, the jobs remain in his queue and everytime he reboots his system, the jobs reprint. He has to manually delete the jobs from the queue. We recently replaced his deskjet local printer on his system (swapped out an HP 1100 for an HP 1220 laserjet). I can't find anyplace in the printer settings that might be causing this problem. Could there be a driver conflict from the new printer causing this problem? Should I just delete the HP 4500n and reinstall it? Any help is appreciated.

It may be best to try to start fresh: uninstalling software
Go here for software installation instructions.
Go here for User's Guides, Getting Started Manuals, etc.
Lots of resources to sift through there...let us know what ends up solving your problem. Good Luck!
EDIT: If you're using a JetDirect card, read up on J4169A, Novell Fails to Print (Print Jobs Stay in Queue) Basically, it says to "Upgrade to the latest Jetdirect firmware L.21.11 or greater."

Problem solved. The installation disk was attaching the local printer to the USB port instead of the LPT1 port. I deleted the local printer and reinstalled it manually using LPT1 port and that took care of the problem. Thanks for the help!!
