Question Toshiba Satellite 4000CDS - Maximum CPU?

Hi.

I've been desperately trying to find some information about this online but I couldn't.

Can anyone help me find out what the maximum CPU is that can be installed on the Toshiba Satellite 4000CDS? It normally comes with a PII 233Mhz.

Thanks!

What you need to find out is if it is a MMC-1 or MMC-2 CPU. Then you can use any MMC-1 or MMC-2 cpu to upgrade it.

I would imagine it is an MMC-1 as I do not think they made an mmc-2 @233 mhz.

Go here for Drivers & Downloads for your 4000CDS. Click on Detailed Specs...it says it comes with a Pentium II, 233MHZ.

Notice the other links on the left-hand side for User's Guide, Discussion Forum, etc.
