    Resolved [RESOLVED] Onboard IDE controller malfunction after restart.

    Every time I soft reboot, the IDE controller malfunctions. None of the drives on the second chain are accessible, and the device shows up bad in the Win98 system CPL. I can provide more detailed info if needed.
    Help!

    Tell us more about the Motherboard and Hard Drives you have....

    Go to the website for your motherboard and get the patches\driver updates..if you do not know manufacturer then you can go to whoever made the chipset, such as Via, Intel, etc
    I saw this problem (secondary IDE) with win95 alot with Intel chipsets, they have a fix for it in the download file.
