Laptop Cooling

I am looking for something to cool my ever so toasty 2.0ghz dell laptop. It is an Inspiron 8200 with a 2.0ghz p4-m and radeon 9000 64mb graphics card so it gets pretty damn hot.

I have been looking and have found cooling pads like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3708

But my question is this, is there something better? And if not, do these work very well? Also, since they are usb or PS2 powered, will it hurt anything to be using it 8hrs a day?

Now keep in mind that there are no lockups or anything, I just get nervous when my $2k+ laptop gets so hot.

I use the Targus Traveler CoolPad.

It is passive and works great.

How much, and got a link? I'm looking for something with fans if possible though, I'm kind of leary of passive coolers

You think them fiddly little fans are gonna make any real difference ? .... I use a desk fan & have four little rubber feet which allow air under any lappies on my desk - works really good & cost practically nothing & I have a desk fan too ! (keeps me cool & my lappies)

even if it doesn't work great, it's only 15.95 so there's no great loss.

So how much power do those 'fiddly little fans' pull ? Methinks powering moving parts via usb is gonna suck my batteries dry ....

Another thought.... passive cooling means you could put your laptop on your lap even when wearing shorts...but fans - ouch!

Im not worrried about battery life or it being on my lap, I want this for work, where the laptop is on for 8hrs straight.
