On this system a mouse will "click" with either button e.g. in Control Panel/Test.
BUT the cursor will never move.

No difference if use PS/2 port, serial port, tried a different mouse...

This is a Win 3.1 box. (remember that?)
MSD shows the driver installed, autoexec.bat calls it properly, there is no IRQ conflict, and it also does not work in DOS.

The ports are built into the MommaBoard (IBM Aptiva 486DX) and the receptacle for the PS/2 port is physically bent.
