What software are you using to burn with ?..
Are you using Roxio/Adaptec Easy CD or Nero at all? Or even both together?
What error messages do you receive when it does not write properly..Please describe exactly what happens.
What brand of cd disks are you using?

In Nero when I go in ?disc info? after ~1 min he sed thet is ?no medium inserted or drive not ready, please try again? I thinck that is the driver prombem but I am not shor, and I do not have the other driver to change. The medium I jousuly juse is Verbatim DL+, Samsung and the other. Do you know the reason why das it hepend?
Thanks!

Same type of problem when my Lite-on went out. My remedy (after wasting a lot of time trying to get it to work) was to get it replaced under warranty, which can be fun if you bought it online. Sorry can't offer a better solution.

I had several CD-Burners die this way on me. Started not seeing any CD's or reading ALL cd's as music cd's. I had to send it in under warrenty to Creative to get it fixed. They fixed it and said the heads where misaligned. Unfortunatly it started doing it again a month or two after the warranty went out. My current DVD-ROM and CD-RW combo drive is starting to misread cd's too. Guess I need to start looking for another. I have noticed they don't last long. Longest I had one working is probably a year.

I'm having a little trouble with the 'language' aspects of this thread
BUT if it works/ doesn't work intermitently ... then that I'd say covers it
Maybe it is just 'not liking' new/different media ? I can't figure out the thread !
