Plug the speakers into the green hole. Make sure the speakers have power.
Oh yeah....welcome to Windrivers!

If you are using analog speakers I noticed on my machine when installing new drivers it reverts my output to the "Digital Output only" setting. I am not sure if you have that setting but you can check under
Sounds and Audio Devices->Device Volume->Advanced->Options->Advanced Controls->Other Controls->Digital Output Only make sure it is unchecked. It defaults to that for me everytime I upgrade drivers and or change sound cards. -Eric

Has the sound ever worked ? If it worked and quit working what did you do before it stopped.
Have you brough up the volume control panel to see what levels they are at and if anything is muted. If you have a little speaker in the bottom right corner you can click on it to bring up the volume control. It's not always there though. You might try plugging the speaker plug into the different "plugs" to make sure you have it in the right plug. You could also check the bios to see if it has the sound disabled. If it has onboard sound I think their might be a setting that disables it. That's about all I know to check sound. Hope that helps some |
