Thumbs down Intellisync Problem

"An error has occured in DSSetupInstall.exe and the application will be shut down".

No matter how many times the application has been removed and re-installed, this error keeps occuring and prevents even the initial configuration of the application.

The Intellisync application is being installed concurrently on a WinXP laptop (admin rights) so that the user can sync a Dell Axim PocketPC with both Notes (corporate, thru Intellisync) and Outlook (mostly personal thru ActiveSync).

Previously, Intellisync was running with Palm's Hotsync to manage data with a Palm Zire71 and no issues were occuring then.

Does anyone have any ideas at all how to resolve this?

None whatsoever, but the problem has been resolved. Thank you.

The issue lay in the fact that the Intellisync installer was an older version.

The latest trial version demonstrated none of those glitches, so the client will be purchasing it.
