MySQL / 1 million database, = x# RAM?
I am about to buy a computer to hold a database, using MySQL, to work with a database that can at times be as high as a million entries, each entry being a title, description, author, condition, maybe a few more details.
Do I need more than 512K Ram?
1 Gig?
1 Gig is a LOT cheaper than 2 Gig, but I'd much rather have 2 Gig if I would significantly benifit from it.
Any particular desktop computers to recommend?
I'm looking at

or this one:

both from Fry's online store.
If I should spend more, I shall, but would rather not.
Any help (in addition to the great help I got about MySQL here the other day) would be very much a huge help, with my great thanks.
