Multiple VPN logins on XP

I wana thank whom ever that was that helped out with my previous post, I had a feeling I'd have to do that but there was always hope.

I've noticed that I'm only able to connect 1 client machine at a time with the built in VPN server for XP. Is anyone aware of a way to allow multiple clients? Or perhaps VPN software that does allow multiple clients?

I would look at ClarkConnect. They have a beta version out right now that is free for home use (it will still be free when it comes out of beta). I'd take a look at them. I have been very impressed so far with what it is capable of (virtual webservers, content filtering, vpn, just to name a few). I seriously doubt you'll be able to get more than one connection to the xp system because it wasn't designed to work as a server. Cheers.

What didn't work on it? It is not something you install on the windows machine but on a seperate machine that acts as a vpn server. You can even use it for your router/web server/mail server/ftp server/file server and so on. I don't think you can do what you want to do with out a dedicated vpn server (ie dedicated machine) or some software that will act as a vpn server running on your current machine but my guess is that software will cost $$$

You wouldn't by chance know of any software like that?

windows 2003... it's not free, but it will accept multiple VPN connections, do routing, mail server, ftp server, file server etc..

you may also want to look at linux, all the above can be setup for free.

(just don't ask me how)

Well its one client per connection source .. so methinks have multiple connections then ! another NIC is like $10 ?

- this is only limited by how many NICs you can squeeze in your box ..

It's almost a no brainer with that clarkconnect I linked to in my first post. Does all of that and (almost) right out of the box!
