IBM Navigator Optical Mouse won't function under XP
I purchased this mouse, which is great in every aspect except the fact that it wont work.
I have been to the micro-innovations website as well as IBM in search for "working" XP drivers, and micro-innovations has a "NEW XP DRIVERS" link. So I got that and re-installed the mouse suite, and to my surprise, it STILL doesn't work. The lights come on, but the damn cursor wont budge.
Are there any standard optical drivers I could try? The default MS HID-mouse driver doesnt work either, and I am about to give up on this thing. Really sucks too because this mouse is very nice .
Regards,
Jake

Driver Terrier
Jakis Welcome to Windrivers. Are you sure the mouse is not faulty? Did you try it in another machine?

Make sure it is setting on a solid, dark-colored surface. Not something light-colored or see-through.

I have that mouse too, I'm using it right now as a matter of fact; mine won't work occasionally on start up so I have to uplug it and plug it back in. I have actually been searching for a new xp driver for this thing since I bought it. I didn't know it wasn't xp compatible until it was too late. You have helped me as well b/c now I know where to get an updated driver. I hope it solves my problem. So anyway, if you're still having that problem, just unplug it and plug it back in after you re-boot.
